Started using flickr today. It freaks me out a little to have all of my pictures out there for everyone to see. I did set it as personal so only friends and family can see but still. Tagging is also a pain in the butt when you're just loading up photos. Ugh!

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Went to see the movie version of Darren Shan's Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't pay full price. Although the premise was ok, the dialogue was completely cheesy. I laughed through the entire thing. It was quite goofy. I'm not sure if they'll make any others since the series is something like 11 volumes long, but if they do, I hope they get better.

Fire by Kristin Cashore

I'm listening to this really great book called Fire by Kristin Cashore and am totally in love with the voice of the woman who's reading it. Sometimes I wish I had a Brisith accent because it just makes everything sound so darn classy! I'm on the last disc and am going to be sad to see it end. I highly recommend it if you like fantasy that's not too fantastical, has a great storyline, a little bit of romance and a bit of action and intrigue.

AED Training

Had a four-hour CPR and AED training class today. I can now save my fellow employees and maybe some of the nicer patrons if the need arises. Go me!

I'm a follower...

Ok, so I'm now following all of the people at work who created blogs for the Library 2.0 training as well as two friends from high school. Let's see if I can keep this up or if I get bored with it as I usually do with all "new toys."

Library 2.0

I had always thought about setting up a blog but wasn't sure if anyone would actually read it and what I should say. I guess this is a good opportunity to try it out to see what I think.
